Mind, Body, Energy, Exercise - Tapping 101:  Clear Daily Stress, Re-enliven your Body and Mind

Balance Training Studio

We all strive for a less-stressful daily experience.  "Stress" and the resulting body-mind reactions such as high cortisol levels, quick adrenal responses, fatigue, lowered immune response and weight gain (despite exercise and food intake!) are difficult to ward off given the number of responsibilities we face.  This workshop is designed for everyone seeking a better feeling experience with their lives through the reduction of stress. 
 
This tactical and practical workshop will address the stress in our lives and give you tools to reduce the "pressures" that surround you.  "Tapping" (or EFT**) is a simple, non-invasive, proven way to reduce the effects of stress on our minds and bodies.  This workshop will show you how to use tapping to live a lighter, more care-free life through removing the roadblocks of stress. 
 
This collaborative, hands-on, supportive and fun workshop will not redesign your life by removing you from your responsibilities.  Rather, we address and dissolve the feelings of stress:  worry, anxiety, tension, fear, regret so that we may have a more clear view of our day...and what we would like to take on!!
 
Empower yourself, become more clear, be an active agent in your own life.  You deserve it!  This workshop puts the YOU back in your life.  By eliminating layers of stress and the knee jerk reactions to our days, your whole body and mind will become re-energized and enlivened!

Equilibrium: Creating Balance and Calm During the Holidays

An integrated, energetic perspective on the reach for balance, calm and keeping your well-being a priority during the holidays.

An evening dedicated to all of you…your body, mind and energy. This night of light to moderate exercise, meditations, lecture and laughter will help renew your sense of calm and balance as we approach the holiday season.
 
Evening to include: 

Meditation: Using deliberate and conscious breathing to center your body, mind and energy. You have the ability to be calm, centered and balanced. We experience the sensation so that we may carry it forward.

Gentle Flow Exercise: Using flowing mat-based exercises, connect with your desires. Allow yourself the time to discover what you’d like to experience during each day. Use these exercise as a tool to create space for your answers.

Lecture/Discussion Topics:
“Making your list and checking it twice: where are you on your list?
Whose expectations are these anyways? Is there a difference between what you “should-do” and what you’d like to do?
Thoughts on creating an energy flow balance during high stress times – who gets what?

Gentle/Moderate Riding: A ride to create harmony and self-focus. We will “spin” a metaphor on how we can create calm in the storm by facing resistance bit by bit…in our own way, on our own terms.

Ending Stretch & Meditation: We can “stretch” ourselves without “stressing” ourselves…feel the empowered difference.

Dear Friends and Clients,

It is with immense pleasure that I write to you and to share the news of the evolution of services offered at Balance Training Studio.  Hopefully, this generates great excitement in you as this is an amazing turning point for your fitness, health and future!

At the start of 2011, I began a quest focused on personal growth and the journey thus far has been deeply transformative!  Longing for a better understanding of my mind, body, energy, emotions and health; I sought out tools that would help me to feel better about my daily experiences in each category.  And, while the journey is still young and there is much more to learn, my life has shifted.  What is possible in terms of life and health and happiness is forever changed. There is a new season upon us....and it is one in which we will uproot ourselves from our old beliefs and allow new tools to surface in our quest to be well.
 
As many of you know, I have been a pioneer in the local fitness industry.  The first local trainer to start the small-group-training phenomenon in the North Shore, I saw the need to make a more intimate connection with clients and created the first of a kind environment to address fitness in a small-group, a-la-carte manner.  As a fitness professional, one could feel the need for change.  People wanted a place to experience fitness that highlighted choice and respected individual needs.  Fueling that fire was the desire to facilitate fitness in a safe environment that encouraged change on a personal level.  The relationship based model was (and continues to be) a bold move in an industry that marks its success by sales rather than relationships.
 
And we wake today to a new tipping point.  The driving force for evolving the business continues to be the possibilities that relationships hold.  Slightly modified,  it is both the relationship between us as client & trainer as well as your relationship with yourself that is the nucleus of the next revolution.  The journey has revealed tools that enable quick relief of stress as well as opportunities for deep interpersonal success . 
 
For years now, I have been searching for "the missing link" with the work that we do.  Numerous times asking:  "why do we (clients, friends, family, self!) struggle over similar fears, follies, emotions?  Why do we sabotage ourselves as we approach our goals?  Why is it that so many clients, while different in nature and situation, have similar struggles in their attainment of weight loss, fitness and the quest for peaceful well-being?'  I've had the opportunity to work so closely with hundreds of people over the last decade...I could see similar patterns ....and questioned why?  And, more appropriately...
 
If I have set my life to help people become the best version of themselves.....I need to develop a new approach!
 
The emerging understanding is that ENERGY is the missing link.  Our bodies are more than our minds.  We have more to us than our physical being.  Our energy system is a critical component to our wellness.  When our energies are congruent and flowing, our bodies and mind and well-being are in harmony.  When there is discord in our energy systems, we become more fragile in terms of acquiring health.  Our energy systems plays a role in our overall happiness and health.  The efficiency and integration of our mind, body and energy systems can enable you to reduce stress and easily reach for success.  So it is critical that we find ways to understand ways to bring our body and systems into balance.  

I have dedicated the last year to studying the body's energy system and the craft of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique**see resources for info**).  What I am learning is helping to reduce stress, experience more happiness, be less fearful and to be more balanced and whole as I have ever been.  I am dedicated to bring the same opportunities to you.  We deserve it!!!
  
My message and methodology will evolve naturally.  Exercise is an excellent environment to highlight the awareness to how your body, mind and energy systems work together.  It is true that when our systems are in harmony,, our bodies and mind synthesize to to create our best health.  My teaching will reflect this.  Additionally, my teaching, training and workshops will emphasize the knowing that exercise is a facet of self-care and self-care is an act of self-love.  I want you to embody your hopes and dreams.  Without question, more in-tune you become with your mind, body, and energy through our exercise, the more it will affect your life....and manifest as happiness, joy, peace, well-being. 
 
I will continue with my current class schedule and be adding a variety of workshops (see below for my first!*).  We can raise our personal health "vibration" and I am looking forward to assisting you in doing so!  Upcoming workshops will be open to everyone so please be certain to share the news with your friends!  Because the mind-body-energy-exercise (TM) is an integrated perspective, it is unique, open and evolving...so I am creating it will all bodies in mind.  Additionally, as with all things offered at the studio, I am available for 1-1 consultation/work with EFT and the mind-body-energy-exercise(TM) coaching models.
 
In closing, there is much in store for us together.  I hope that you are excited to move in toward greater health, expansion and insight. I make a promise to you to continue to research, study, and make my own growth a priority so that I may best serve you and offer the most advantageous tools available to facilitate your greatness!
